Elgin Valley Inn

The view across the valley at night is lovely, and breakfast was really enjoyable. Avo was so attentive and even offered to carry our bags, which was very kind. Our room had plenty of space, with a wall heater to warm it up, and the extra-large bed made for a peaceful night's sleep. The hot tub worked perfectly, and they provided bath foam for lots of bubbles.

We had a birthday stay, and the service really impressed my partner and me. Martha, the owner, made us feel welcome and at home, and they put in extra effort for birthdays and anniversaries. It was hard to think about leaving at checkout. The rooms have a chic, modern design, great views from sunrise to sunset, and your own private jacuzzi. The setting is gated and secure, with secure parking, and feels very private. Restaurants and takeaways are less than 5 minutes away; zip lining, quad biking, and the Elgin farmers market are all within a 5 km radius. A great choice for a romantic break, a family staycation, or a group trip.

We had such a fun evening talking and laughing around the fire with the management and other guests. The rooms were comfortable, the surroundings calm and relaxing, and the service was amazing. We only stayed one night this weekend, but it was a fantastic experience. We'll definitely come back!

The breakfast was incredible and went well beyond what I expected. The rooms are clean, cosy and comfortable, and it feels peaceful and tucked away from city life, while still being close to places where you can pick up anything you forgot to pack. The view is lovely, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. There's no communal pool, so I'd pick one of the rooms with a private pool. They're heated and secluded, making them a lovely romantic option in any season.
