Buster took such kind care of everything we needed, and nothing was too much trouble. The gentleman who stays on the property was also very helpful and attentive in the evenings, which we especially appreciated as parents. We spent three nights at The Milner Guesthouse in Makhanda while our older son played in a cricket festival, and travelling with our two-year-old felt effortless. The beautifully curated property is stylish but still warm and welcoming, and it's ideally located close to everything in town. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return. Highly recommended.

I booked this guest house for a business trip to Makhanda, and I don't regret it. It's clean, peaceful and quiet, with friendly staff, spacious comfortable rooms, and the food is🔥🔥🔥. The shower is big enough for 2 people 🌚. Anyone travelling to Grahamstown/makhanda for business should stay here. It's giving business class mode 🔥🔥

The rooms were comfortable and well decorated, the breakfasts delicious, and the garden nice to look at. But The Milner seemed to be falling apart during our stay: the geyser burst in our room, and the blinds in both rooms weren't working properly. Management kindly upgraded us to a better room. A maintenance team arrived on the day we left, so I'm giving the Guest House the benefit of the doubt. The lounge carpets were extremely dusty and could have used more attention. Even with those issues, we had a pleasant stay in The Milner.
