Graskop Holiday Resort

The room was awful, with no towels even after we asked, dirt everywhere, blood marks on the sheets and blankets, only cold water, and holes in the ceiling. We had booked through a reservation website and arrived on time, but there was nobody at reception. The manager wouldn't confirm a room, saying there was no booking, and the website's service representative couldn't resolve it either. We had no choice but to pay full price. Don't believe what they say. Just stay away. This was as bad as it gets.

The attendant was helpful, but the place itself left a lot to be desired. The door lock didn't work, the bathroom was horrible, and some windows were broken out. I arrived very late and it was the only option for several miles, so it gave me somewhere to sleep. I'll definitely find somewhere else next time.

Thanks to the staff for trying to help us with what we needed, but the place was a disappointment. We struggled to get enough water to flush the toilet and shower. Even when locked, the gate could be crawled under, and the property wasn't well maintained. We never saw the so-called owner, who seemed to just come collect money without caring about customer service. The pool was dirty. At least the bedding was clean, though there was blood under one mattress. It didn't feel like a decent or welcoming place for visitors. It doesn't deserve even one star and should be closed down!

The service was terrible and I won't go back. The electricity and water were off for most of the day, and loud music kept us from sleeping. The place wasn't equipped for four people: we had to bring our own kitchenware and towels. The pool was dirty and empty, with no water. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful. I'd paid months in advance, but when I arrived I had to look up the payments in my bank because they couldn't find them. We had to ask for a braai grill, and everything was broken. There was no microwave or air conditioning, and no hot water for bathing. The top bed required a ladder that was broken, so my child had to sleep on the floor.
