Galagos Lodge

From booking to check-in and checkout, our three-night stay at Galagos Lodge was memorable. We had a luxury room, and were treated like royalty the whole time. Well done to management and staff, keep up the good work. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely visit again. *****

The two kitchen ladies were excellent, but the rest left us disappointed. On our first night the rooms and linens were dirty, some windows were broken, and the chairs were so dirty we couldn't sit outside until we asked the ladies to clean them for us.

I'm glad I never set foot in that lodge. The woman who handles bookings is a complete bully and wouldn't listen to anything I had to say as a client. I've never been treated so badly by someone. If that's how she is on the phone, I can't imagine what she's like in person.

The main part of the guest house and the views were lovely, but I didn't finish my stay at Galagos Lodge. I had booked one night in a luxury room and didn't find it luxurious. The furniture was well used, and the bathroom needs some care: the grout around the bath was worn away, the cabinet beneath the sink was damaged, and the shower floor was not nice. That might have been acceptable for a standard room, but the room name had set a different expectation. I was the only guest there, which made me uncomfortable, so I decided to leave. I told the manager/owner on Whatsapp afterward. She said I should have spoken to her before leaving, and in hindsight I agree, but at the time I just wanted to go. I didn't ask for a refund, but was asked for my banking details so one could be issued. I still haven't received anything.
