Marina Views Guesthouse

The pool was spotless, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I also loved the view of the lake and the Kosmos cafe, and had no trouble with connectivity or signal. Some renovations would help, but I enjoyed staying here.

The dam views and location are lovely, and the rooms are decent, though they could use updating. The staff's treatment of us was the main problem: they seemed uncaring and were very mean. We went two nights without Wi-Fi, and after we complained, nobody did anything or explained what was wrong. Based on how we were treated, I wouldn't recommend visiting.

The rooms are roomy and have fans for hot weather, and there's a generator for load shedding. Hot water is the only thing affected by it, so everything else was great. We had a really good stay, and the location by the dam is excellent, with a great restaurant nearby offering lots of different food. The lady was wonderful about communicating and helping with our various needs. I'd definitely recommend it.

We had trouble right at the gate because no entry code had been sent, which caused frustration with security. Inside, the advertised Jacuzzi bath didn't work, the blinds were broken, and there were stains on the bed comforter. My room also had a broken chair.
