Greenfire Hazyview Lodge

We stayed in a clean, well-equipped cabana with a private braai area, and it felt like home. The grounds were well maintained, the staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a peaceful, secure feel that let us relax while the children played. The kids stayed busy with the pools, putt-putt, and playground. The resort sits by the Sabie River, with lovely greenery and the sound of the water. It also worked well as a base for us, a short drive from Phabeni Gate at Kruger National Park and close to Panorama Route attractions. We had a wonderful family stay and made special memories. We’ll be back.

We had a fantastic long weekend, with a great spot and lovely staff. I only wish they’d chlorinated the pool on Sunday night instead of Monday morning, but that was a small thing after such an amazing stay. High five to all the staff 🥰

We booked a three-bedroom at hazeyview cabanas on 19January2026 and had car trouble, but the staff were so helpful. The weather meant we couldn’t do all the activities we’d hoped for. I wasn’t keen on our chalet, though: there was no door on the upstairs bedroom or on the shower in the main bathroom, which put me off. I wish I’d booked the cabins, they’re beautiful. Whenever we had an issue, the team dealt with it promptly, and they made us feel at home. The receptionist, cleaners, maintenance team, and management were all awesome. We’d absolutely go back. We booked three apartments at Hazeyview Cabanas for 18 people over Christmas, from 24 December to 27 December, and the stay quickly became one of the worst I’ve had. The apartments felt run down, tired, and sticky when we arrived, and coffee-coloured water came out of every tap. Reception staff blamed the rain and weren’t apologetic. We had to push maintenance to address it, and the water was finally fixed the next day. That ruined the feel of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, with only one night left after it was sorted.
