Laughing Waters Guest House

Charles & Mené made our one-night stay feel wonderfully relaxed. They welcomed us warmly, cooked a great braai and shared plenty of helpful tips for our upcoming trip to Kruger. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the grounds were lovely, with a wide range of plants and birds and animals visiting. We had a great time and would definitely recommend Linvale Lodge.

We felt like part of the family here. Charles and Mené were so warm and attentive, and even when we left early in the morning, they were there to see us off. Dinner and breakfast were both fantastic, and we really enjoyed talking with them. The lodge sits down a long lane on a macadamia farm, with beautiful, safe, well-kept grounds. Such a special five-star stay. We're very grateful we found it.

We only booked two nights and really wish we'd stayed longer. Even a quiet day doing nothing here would have been lovely. Miné and Charles made us feel cared for from the moment we arrived, with thoughtful touches like fresh flowers in the bathroom and a chair waiting by the fire in the evening. Their passion came through in the food, their suggestions for getting around, and what they shared about the region. We especially recommend their traditional SA dinner. Talking with them even brought out a growing love for Africa in us. The lodge is a green oasis reached through macadamia groves, with a large, well-kept farm, old trees and flowering bushes. We loved the birds and insects making what felt like an orchestra around us. Our room was cozy, with a comfortable bed and bathroom. Gideon and Tammy make you feel like you arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. From check-in to departure, they go the extra mile. Linvale Country Lodge has spacious rooms, delicious meals and large, peaceful gardens that are beautifully kept. Highly recommended.
