The dam view room was spacious, clean and lovely, and the food was delicious. The staff were welcoming and friendly. It's a quiet, peaceful spot in Hazyview, a real four-star gem in the Lowveld.

I was there for three nights as part of a safari stay and only left the umbhaba eco lodge yesterday. I can't put into words how wonderful the rooms, lodge and staff were. Even while busy, everyone took time to learn my preferences and get to know me. They always greeted me with a smile at meals and were happy to answer my questions. I'm so grateful to everyone there, and I'll be back!

The food was good, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. It's a beautiful spot, close to both Kruger and town, and the price is excellent for what you get.

We had the buffet dinner included, and the menu changed over the three nights we stayed. The rooms were clean, and the hotel grounds felt quaint and relaxing.

The beds were my one complaint, they felt like sleeping on a stone slab and weren't soft at all. Otherwise, it's a beautiful place, with porches off the rooms and great views of sunrise and sunset. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the food was fresh and tasty.
