The staff were the best part of the property: kind, welcoming, and helpful. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well equipped, and the grounds looked well maintained. There’s a large, clean parking area, though it isn’t paved. Wi-Fi worked very well. I could hear my neighbours partying a little, so the soundproofing is only so-so. It’s in a quiet area, a bit away from restaurants. Some deliver, but not in the evening, and they require a South African mobile number. The hotel sells cold drinks but doesn’t have snacks. Still, it was very good value, and I’d happily stay again.

I had a really enjoyable stay. The rooms were clean and matched their description, and I loved the warm hospitality. The woman who welcomed us was incredibly kind. I’ll definitely return.

The place was really nice and clean, and the rooms smelled lovely. The Wi-Fi was reliable too.

This place was disgusting and nowhere near as advertised. It wasn’t clean, there were hardly any lights outside despite active construction, and things weren’t mounted properly. The tiles are chipping, and Health and Safety really needs to look into it. I wouldn’t wish a stay here on anyone. If it seems like every other place is full and this is your only option, sleeping in your car would be better; even sleeping with the lions would feel like a spa day by comparison. I added photos so others won’t be misled like I was. #HazyviewHealthandSafety please take action. #NightmareInWoodpeckerGuesthouse

We had a wonderful stay. The guesthouse was clean, and the staff treated us courteously. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting hazyview.
