Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse

Our cottage felt wonderfully close to nature, with its own natural pool and waterfall. We also loved the gourmet meals and friendly service, and the comfort of the place. It’s very close to the Highmoor and maloti nature hikes.

The rooms were lovely, comfortable, and well equipped, and the staff were kind and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed. Meals were beautifully prepared and presented, with some memorable culinary experiences. We spent two nights here and found it so peaceful and relaxing. Mountain views, lush greenery, and all the birds made the setting special. There are also plenty of nice activities nearby. It’s a great place to get away from the daily grind and unwind in nature. We loved every minute and plan to come back next year.

Jeanne, the GM, has one of the best teams I’ve come across, and she’s one of the best managers I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. The service really is at the level you’d hope for from a five-star stay. And the food is the crown jewel: breakfast and dinner were incredible, and every dish I tried was outstanding. I doubt you’ll find better food in this area. The property is beautifully maintained, and the rooms are spotless with thoughtful little extras. I found the sunken gardens especially peaceful, a lovely place to relax and reflect. The whole stay felt like a true five-star experience. If you’re in the area, this is where I’d stay.
