A lovely place for a holiday far from other people, right in nature. The cottage is close to Kamberg, Highmoor, and Giants Castle Reserves, and we enjoyed several hikes during our fantastic week there. It’s spacious, well furnished, well supplied, and dog friendly. The owners were friendly and attentive. There was no TV, which we thought was great.

Richard was a friendly, helpful host, and the cottage felt very safe. Outside, there’s a lovely view and a pond with a charming little deck right by the cottage. I care a lot about comfort when I’m away, and this place had it: a cozy bed, soft pillows, luxurious-quality bedding, fluffy towels, and a proper good shower. Ten out of ten! The kitchen was fully equipped, there were two-point plugs in every room, and the complimentary free-range eggs, wood, and organic firelighters were thoughtful extras. Staying at Kamberg Valley Hideaway was an absolute delight. Highly recommended! Iryna

Getting to Kamberg Valley Hideaway is a nightmare because the road is barely there. I wouldn’t try it without a 4x4 with good tires.

We could easily have stayed on the property the whole time, even with all the outdoor activities nearby. The scenery around Kamberg Valley hideaway was breathtaking, and our furry four-legged companion was warmly welcomed. The cottage was cozy, clean, and well equipped, and Richard and Sam went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. We can’t wait to come back. A great pet-friendly getaway if you’re after beautiful surroundings. One thing to know: the road there isn’t great. Good ground clearance is recommended, though not necessary.

My husband, our two dogs, and I stayed two nights in Forest Cottage, and we couldn’t recommend it more highly. It’s beautifully situated, well cared for, and has all the necessary little luxuries. There’s a large, safely fenced area for the dogs to play, plus lovely chances for them to swim in the dam and in the Klein Mooi.
