The gardens are lovely, and the location is ideal. Our cottage was spotless, with fresh, nicely presented linen. The main bed felt a little worn, though it didn't spoil the experience too much. The shower pressure wasn't great, which was the only minor drawback. Still, it's certainly not the end of the world. I'd recommend the property and would happily stay again.

We loved the mix of original building details and modern utilities, and the cottage was a lovely place to stay. It was cozy, clean and well equipped, with excellent quality linen and towels, a stunning view and a cute fenced garden for our two small dogs. The guesthouse is quiet, with wonderful views, a manicured lawn and a pristine blue pool, but it's also super close to lots of stores and restaurants. The property is immaculate, beautiful and well cared for. We didn't use the dining facilities, though the main house has a lovely little dining area overlooking the pool. Truly a wonderful find.

A lovely, tranquil place and everything was perfectly clean and tidy. Parking gets a bit tight if you have a big SUV. The shower pressure wasn't very good, and the bath was leaking and needs checking. Other than that, beautiful.

The little B&B was so lovely I could easily have stayed another 4 nights, even though we were only there overnight. Our cottage was beautifully decorated and very, very clean. The veranda was really scenic, and the service was friendly. Ice one guys.

Rooms feel like small flats, and the view down to Maritzburg is a must see. The pool is the best, and the garden is well maintained. People are super friendly and go the extra mile to help make your stay the best they can. If you're after a home away from home, Gateside is by far the best place to go. You guys will see me more.
