James made every drive a lesson in understanding the bush. He could identify birds by call or sight and seemed to know every plant, stone, and track. We saw all of the big five and many other animals in just four drives. The food was a lovely surprise, with a creative variety of vegetarian meals. The staff gave us very personal care throughout, paying attention to the details and doing everything they could to make our stay feel perfect. Klaserie Drift was an unforgettable safari experience in the heart of the Kruger National Park. We’d happily return and highly recommend it.

We were welcomed by really friendly, well-trained staff at a stunning location. The lodge has luxury suites and great food. Even though we visited in the rainy season, we spotted all the animals we hoped to see, including lions, leopards, rhinos, and elephants. It was an amazing adventure, and I’d recommend the lodge to anyone.

Roan was our guide for every drive, and he tracked so skillfully that we had lots of unique animal encounters. The most memorable for me was finding seven lions hiding in the bushes while an elephant bullied them. The lodge sits on a hillside with a great view over the reserve, and we loved spending afternoons watching different groups of animals graze near the river. The food was amazing, and the bartenders Cedric and Justice made the creative cocktails we asked for, including their own signature drink. My friend is pescatarian, and her meals were imaginative, with no sense that her request was an inconvenience. Nelady made sure we had everything we needed, and Bryan got our coffees ready for the 5:45 morning drives. Prudence welcomed us warmly, and the whole staff gave us a lovely send-off. My friend and I had a truly magical, once-in-a-lifetime stay at the Klaserie Drift Safari Camp. I wouldn't change a moment, and would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to South Africa.

I've been on two safaris, and this was my favorite because the whole experience came together so well. The people, the camp, the food, and the atmosphere were all amazing, even with a little rain.
