Sentosa Place

A great spot for a family holiday.

We loved the wildlife estate, the house, and its special atmosphere so much during our August 2025 stay at Sentosa Place that we booked another 3-week visit for 2026 before we’d even left. Then, earlier this year, our 2026 booking was unexpectedly cancelled. We were told the accommodation was changing and would no longer be rented as a full private house. That caused a lot of stress and sadness. Finding another place for several weeks in August was very difficult and much more expensive, and our son was disappointed too, since we’d all been excited to return. More recently, the owner got in touch personally. She explained that the previous host no longer manages the property, sincerely apologized for the situation and misunderstanding, and tried to make it right by offering us the chance to stay at Sentosa Place in 2026 after all. We had already booked and paid for another property by then, so we couldn’t accept the kind offer. We appreciated her personal communication, understanding, and effort to put things right. It’s clear she has a good heart and cares about her guests and their experience at Sentosa Place. Despite the trouble with the cancelled booking, the place itself remains special to us, and we truly hope to return for a longer stay one day.

Sentosa Place in Hoedspruit Wildlife estate is a beautiful place to visit as a couple, though I think it would be especially great for a group of friends. The host was very responsive and made us feel at home.
