We’d stay here again in a heartbeat. The food was generous and really good, and I liked that the chef announced the evening menu before serving. Wildlife wandering around the lodge close by made the stay feel magical. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and there was a choice of an indoor or outdoor shower, or a bath.

The road to the lodge was pretty rough, so I’d suggest a vehicle with good off-road ability. Once there, we loved the wildlife around the lodge, including giraffes, zebras, and even buffalo passing by. The evening campfire was a memorable part of our stay. Everyone gathered around and chatted about the day, which made for a great atmosphere. The food was very good, and the staff were incredibly friendly, with excellent service throughout. We had a fantastic stay at Thornhill, and it was a memorable part of our trip.

Nyala's, giraffes, monkeys, and warthogs crossed right by the lodge, which made the stay unforgettable. We also had delicious homemade food and such kind, helpful staff. They even helped when we left a bag behind.
