The only downside was hearing large freight trains pass in front of the property at 1am and 3am. Even so, it’s a lovely experience if you like trains, and otherwise it was peaceful and quiet. The rooms were beautiful and clean, with daily room service, and the hosts were friendly and hospitable. There’s a great garden view, and the location is convenient, not too far from the highway or town. Highly recommend if you’re in the Howick/Hilton area and want somewhere nice to stay or unwind.

The garden was breathtaking, peaceful, and so well kept, a lovely place to relax. At Meander In B&B, the hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Our room was lovely, beautifully maintained, and spotless. Such a welcoming Midlands gem. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.

The owners welcomed us and were quick to help with anything. Our room was beautiful and super clean, and even the towels smelled so nice. Breakfast was awesome, and they had the best Marmelade ever! Thank you for a great stay.

Sue and two adorable Jack Russell terriers gave us a warm welcome. The room was cosy, with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage. We especially liked the spacious bathroom with its big bathtub, and the separate shower had great water pressure. Everything was clean and tidy. The open-plan shared dining and lounging area leads onto a garden with an impeccable lawn and blue pool. The generous hosts give the place a wonderful atmosphere, and it was great chatting with Granny and Sue. They serve a full breakfast, and guests can use the courtesy bar in the evening. There’s a small fridge in the room with complimentary milk, plus an electric blanket on the bed and a ceiling fan. You’re all set for a comfy stay at Meander In B&B.

Sue & John make you feel welcome and really go the extra mile. The gardens are gorgeous, with a pool, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. It’s close to Midmar Dam and other amenities, too. Affordable and amazing, this is the best Bed & Breakfast in the Midlands. 100% worth a visit.
