The people looking after the place were wonderful, and the owner is a genuine lad. I stayed about a week with my Kenyan girlfriend and her mother, and it was one of my best experiences in Jeffery's. I'll definitely be back, and soon.

We were a family of 10 staying for 3 nights, and had no complaints. The place was clean and nothing was broken, and we were treated respectfully and given privacy. We got our cash deposit back. When the kids wanted to use the pool area, the dogs were taken away, and there were no droppings lying around.

We left the place immaculate, cleaner than it was when we arrived, but the self-proclaimed owners still refused to return the compulsory R2500 cash deposit. The online booking information hadn't said a cash deposit was required, though we paid it in good faith. When it was time to refund us, the woman came up with bogus excuses. She even stood in front of the gate and told her husband to park his car there so we couldn't leave. He then threatened to slash my nephew's tyres for no reason. I've never had such an unprofessional, racist experience. Think carefully before booking. The owners should reconsider who they've hired to run the place. Pathetic! If zero were an option, that's the score I'd give this disappointing end to what could have been an amazing long weekend.

The owners refused to return our R2500 and threatened us. They even parked our cars in the yard so we couldn't leave. The managers kept disturbing us and profiling us, and the place was dirty, with broken glass in the cupboards and stained bed sheets. Outside was a mess too, with dogs constantly jumping on and biting us, and droppings everywhere. We felt watched the whole time. Not recommended for families planning a holiday. Very unprofessional.
