Residents and business owners nearby have been affected by major noise disturbances from members of the South African National Defense Force who book this hotel over the Easter Weekend. This has happened for the past few years, with noise carrying on through the day and evening. Complaints have been made to the ward councilor and other authorities, including JMPD, but nothing has happened. When residents ask the owners to reduce the noise pollution, they promise to sort it out, but nothing changes.

Everything was lovely: clean and neat, and just like the pictures. There were breakfast options, and it was great. Naomi and her husband were very welcoming. I highly recommend this place. Thanks for a great weekend!

The rooms were really clean, and the place felt safe. But yoh, she was so controlling about what we wore. We were treated like kids. Even just going to the gate to collect an order meant putting on a jacket and jeans or a coat 🙄

The area is quiet and safe, and the view is beautiful. We booked ahead hoping for a clear, sparkling pool, but it was green and we couldn't really swim. The carpets were dirty, and the rooms weren't clean: I found old used condoms in the wardrobe and had to throw them away myself, plus old food in the Dubai freezer. The bathroom window was broken, which made a bath less relaxing than we'd hoped, and the water came out at a crawl. When breakfast was served there were no sauces. The rooms had no milk or drinking glasses either. During loadshedding we were left in the dark. We only found out in the morning, after another guest asked, that there had been a generator the whole time. The owner did offer us a special, which was really nice. If they paid attention to these things, we'd rate the place better.

The location and that view, OMG, are beautiful, and the place was clean and neat. The staff were friendly too. Naomi is such a lovely, peaceful woman. There were five of us, my cousin and I included, and we all had a great time. We made plans right away to come back in February 2021. Thanks for having all five of us at Naomi's Place. We love you and your place.
