Kariega made our first wedding anniversary feel so special, and we're grateful we got to spend it there. From the welcome at the entrance, where they greeted us by name, to all the little details, we felt like family and well looked after. Matt was an amazing guide. He paid attention to what we wanted from our drives each day, shared a meal with us, and made sure we saw the cheetah on our last morning. The chalet was impeccable and the food was delicious. We loved that Kariega is a conservation reserve too. The animals were so relaxed, and each drive felt magical. We can't wait to return as our family grows. Thank you, Kariega!

The lodge was epic, the safaris incredible, the food delicious, and the staff amazing. They made us feel like part of the family. The rangers knew so much about the animals and the area. Just phenomenal.

Our safari was far better than we'd even hoped, and Matt made it feel like we were exploring with a friend rather than just following a guide. He shared his huge knowledge of wildlife whenever he could. My wife is gluten free, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure every meal worked for her, preparing individual dishes when needed. The chalet had a lovely valley view, with a bottle of bubbles and a honeymoon card waiting in the room. When we arrived at the Kariega main lodge, we got a tour, a drink at the bar, and lunch before heading down to our chalet. I can't recommend Kariega highly enough.

I spent three nights here and went on four safari trips. The reserve is stunning and has lots of wildlife. Archie, our ranger, deserves a special mention. He's the best guy in the world and made our holiday special!

The animals were really nice, and the food was okay, but it was the worst we had on our trip around SA. The nature guides did only the bare minimum. We spent two nights here and can't recommend it. There are much better options out there.
