Being right on the Big Hole Museum grounds made getting around easy, with the main attractions all within walking distance. We could take our time at the museum without worrying about transport or parking, and the guesthouse added a lot to our visit. Our unit was quiet and secure after a day of sightseeing, clean, well maintained, and finished nicely with modern fittings. Check-in was smooth and everything was thoughtfully laid out. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend New Rush Guesthouse to anyone after comfortable, well-located accommodation in Kimberley, especially for a visit to the Big Hole Museum.

The Big Hole location is hard to beat if that’s what you’re visiting. It was also pleasant to walk around the museum at night and window-shop after closing. We had fun staying a couple of days, and the place was very clean with friendly staff. Because of the water problems, bottles of water were left in our room for flushing the toilet, which helped. The air conditioner dripped when running, though, and with temperatures in the 40s it was challenging. Taxis and similar vehicles could also make the nights noisy with loud music and hooting. Even so, for the famous Big Hole, this is a great place to stay.

We’d ended up in a terrible place during Wildeklawer, but Cindy managed to help us find accommodation. What a lovely place. The room was spotless, tidy, and absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for such a great stay, we’ll definitely return next year.

The rooms keep the feel of the old mining town theme while offering all the modern amenities. It’s a very nice guest house in the Big Hole complex, with comfortable, very clean rooms, safe parking, and good value for money.
