The views are lovely, and the food and service are great. It's clean, and a good place for a meal. Parking inside is a bit limited at peak times, and weekends can get noisy with small kids. For a quieter meal, I'd go during the week. If you sit outside in winter, dress warmly.

The owners were really accommodating, and the place was neat and tidy. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. I can't recommend them enough.

The staff were friendly and quick to help, and they made breakfast feel like an important start to the day. Dinner was delicious too, a lovely way to end it. I had an amazing break at The old stone house, just what I needed away from the city rush. I’d happily recommend this lodge to anyone looking to get away from busy city life.
