We came across this place while looking for somewhere to stay along the main road, and felt right away that it was the one for us. The natural setting is beautiful and relaxing, the shared spaces are comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped. Our rooms were tidy and pleasant. Megan, Stefan and the crew were the nicest people we met on our whole trip. Highly recommended.

I’d stayed here before and was a bit disappointed to find it had changed into backpacker-style accommodation. The rooms are still quirky and reasonably comfortable, but they’re missing basics like a TV. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

She describes herself as a GlamPacker rather than a Backpacker, and comes across as a smart, forward-thinking entrepreneur. There are several small rooms on the property, along with a bar and restaurant. It’s conveniently placed near the main attractions and amenities you might need for a short stay.

The atmosphere is great and the rooms are amazing, though the main road gets very busy. For families, I’d suggest their other guesthouse, Bamboo cottages.

Clean, pleasant backpacker vibe, with a private room and bathroom plus a shared kitchen and chill-out area.
