Buccara Noetzie - Pezula Castle

That dining room mirror deserves a mention, we loved it! We finished our 3.5-week honeymoon here and felt like the king and queen of our own private castle. It's right on the beach, but still feels secluded, and somehow manages to be both breathtakingly grand and cosy. Jeanne was so helpful and suggested things to do nearby. Daniel and I would love to come back as soon as we can afford it. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 💙

A wonderful spot for hiking and reconnecting with yourself. The beach is right at your doorstep, with a pool, mountains and a river mouth all around. It feels like a safe, secure wonderland, with plenty of birdlife and reptiles. Honestly, it feels out of this world.

It's an extremely beautiful, secluded place and well worth visiting, though be prepared for the access. From the N2, one of the two entry routes goes through the informal settlement; the other isn't accessible unless you live in Pezula Estate. The road is gravel all the way from the turnoff to the parking area, about 8km. After that there's a steep descent, a narrow pedestrian path and a lot of steps, which could be difficult for older or physically challenged visitors. There's apparently a restaurant, but we didn't go, so I can't comment on it.

No photos can really do justice to how beautiful this castle is. It made my fiancée's and my dreams come true, and I have no regrets about choosing it for such an important time in our lives. The staff at Pezula Private Caste went above and beyond to make the stay special. I've stayed at quite a few hotels along the Garden Route and beyond, but I've never had better service. Property Manager Jeanne deserves special mention for the extraordinary arrangements he made for us. I'd return any chance I get. Thank you, Pezula Private Caste.
