We rarely get such genuine, enthusiastic service, even with all our travels around the world. Danelle and Sue, the two managers, were exceptional, offering detailed, insightful recommendations and treating us like family while remaining respectful. The staff were attentive and professional throughout, and the whole team deserves our thanks. We especially loved dinner at the hotel. The food was refined, beautifully presented and delicious, with a magical atmosphere that felt like mid-19th-century England and made us feel like British aristocracy. We’d tell future guests not to miss the meal. From the moment we arrived, the care was clear: our car was filthy after the Seven Passes Road, and when we asked where we could wash it, the hotel offered to take care of it.

We’ve been coming to Falcons View Manor for more than ten years, and each visit feels like coming home. Danelle and the whole team are warm, attentive and professional, and we’re already looking forward to returning. The restored historic house sits above Knysna, with a veranda view that feels magical at sunset. Our rooms have always been spacious, stylish and thoughtfully designed, with a real focus on atmosphere and quality. Breakfast in the garden is a daily pleasure, fresh and varied, with greenery, quiet and birdsong all around. But dinner is the highlight for us. It’s creative, beautifully cooked and consistently outstanding, so for years we’ve chosen to eat at Falcons View every evening. This is one of the most special places in South Africa, full of character and soul, with a team that makes guests feel truly cared for. Thank you for more than 10 years of wonderful memories!

The old house is beautiful, and its setting and view over Knysna bay are excellent. We had outstanding service from a very friendly staff. If you’re a runner, don’t hesitate to ask them for advice! We highly recommend Falcons View Manor and hope to return.

The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, taking care with every detail. While we had breakfast, they cleaned and aired the rooms. At night, they drew the curtains, turned down the bed and left a Lindt chocolate on the pillow. There are no large groups, and the classical music and fireplace give the place a cozy feel. The hotel is spotless and beautifully maintained, with wonderful views of the city and sea from its hilltop position. Breakfast is a British-inspired buffet with something for everyone, and at dinner you can put together your own three-course menu. The food and wine list are excellent, and the service is outstanding. I’d highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful evening by the fireplace that felt so homey. The staff were lovely, the cook was great, and the breakfast buffet was superb, including a special option for vegetarians. We also got wonderful tips for outings, and the view from the porch was amazing. Thank you, Danél!
