I had a very nice experience this past weekend, even though the rain meant we couldn't do many activities. The rooms were comfortable, and the beds were warm and cozy. My only complaint was the parking area, which was full of water. We couldn't get to the car without risking damage to our shoes.

The people were friendly, the staff accommodating, and the views breathtaking. My birthday at Salt River Lodge was the best celebration I've had so far. It was comfortable and relaxed, and I'll celebrate there again 😄

The place was clean, well maintained, and easy to find, but the security was next to nothing. My friend's car was broken into and most of our belongings were stolen. One staff member said this wasn't the first incident, and the owner/manager confirmed that some canoeing gear had been stolen before ours. The owner did take charge, and the culprit was apprehended; we got some of our belongings back. I recommend having ground security on site 24/7 to help prevent more incidents like this.

We visited with a group from Limpopo. Great place and great hosts!
