Everything was done with so much care, and the owners took real time for their guests. We rarely have felt this welcome on our trip. They're two incredibly warm-hearted people, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation.✨

Breakfast was great, with plenty of options for us as vegetarians, and the coffee was great too. The hosts at Stannards Guest Lodge were lovely, passionate about their work, and knew the area well. They gave us lots of ideas for things to do. Our room was neat and spacious, and the garden was so green. It was full of birds in the morning, and I can imagine relaxing by the pool there in summer. They also have a very nice shop.

The owners run the guest house themselves and have been the friendliest people we've met so far. When we arrived, the landlady gave us a long, very helpful explanation of things to do.

We were greeted so warmly and got loads of tips on things to do nearby. They also explained right away what load shedding would mean for the lodge. They made it as comfortable as possible: we still had hot water, lights, and Wi-Fi, just no plugs, so they told us to charge our devices ahead of time. Our beautiful, very clean room even had heated blankets. Breakfast was really good, with fresh fruit, homemade muffins and bread, plus a warm homemade breakfast on request. We also liked that the owners let us eat in peace instead of staying in the room with us the whole time. They have lovely souvenirs, too. Shame we can't give six stars! Thanks again, we'll definitely recommend this to anyone coming to the Knysna area.
