The breakfast service really let us down. They dropped off the food and disappeared, and no one came back to see if it was okay. We finished and left without seeing anyone from the kitchen again. The setting is lovely, though, with a clean pool area and lots of places to take pictures. It’s easy to find, and the reception people and cleaning staff we met were very friendly.
It was peaceful there, and the food was delicious. My room was clean, spacious, and well equipped, and the beds were comfortable too.
The rooms are lovely and roomy.
Imbali felt like a little heaven in Kokstad. The rooms were very clean, and the staff were so friendly. Best place in town, for sure.
At 4pm the next afternoon, we arrived to find they hadn’t booked our room and were fully booked. We’d made a reservation and told the receptionist we’d be leaving late; she confirmed an extra R200, which we were fine with. The two women at reception then gave us details for another place, but laughed at us as we left. That was very unprofessional. Staff need better training on taking bookings. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
