We chose it mainly because there’s a restaurant on site, and the food was reasonably priced, though nothing special. We stayed in cottage 4. It was okay for the price. The pool looked nice, but we didn’t use it since we were just stopping to sleep before Kruger. The car was parked securely behind a locked gate, which was reassuring. I wouldn’t recommend it as a destination in itself.

Apart from the setting beside a busy road, it was a very nice place. The passing trucks brought noise and exhaust fumes into the restaurant area, and people selling things in the street would come inside and approach us.

The chicken liver and pap breakfast was the best I’ve ever had, my word! I came in for breakfast and loved the atmosphere too. Prices were reasonable. A real Komatipoort gem, with five stars for the owners and staff.

We were a group of 8, and everyone loved the milkshakes and mocktails. The starters were amazing, and the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and treated us like VIPs. It’s an excellent restaurant on the Mainstreet, one I’d happily return to and recommend for a fine meal.
