The house is beautiful, but what happened with our deposit was completely uncalled for. The owner kept our R3000 deposit, blaming us for dirty dishes even though we paid a cleaning fee. She also blamed us for a freezer that was already rusty when we arrived. There weren’t any cleaning products or cloths, so we used what was available and left the place spotless. We’ve had the same refrigerator for years and it isn’t rusty like the beach house freezer. I suspect her cleaning company damaged it, but she’s blaming us for their mistake. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!

The stay itself was great, but afterward the owner accused us of making the freezer rust during our three days there and is keeping our R3000 damage deposit. We never used, cleaned, wiped, or sprayed anything on the freezer. She insists someone used degreaser on it, though I don't see how it could rust overnight. She's also charging us for washing dishes, which doesn't make sense as a damage fee. I feel like this was a way to get an extra R3000 from us. I've never had anything like this happen at a place I've booked before.
