Crystal Lagoon Lodge

We were promised a quiet stay, but there was loud construction happening above our room with no warning. You may also end up in one of the "additonal" buildings down the road. Staff at the main building were friendly and the service was great. The room had a lovely lagoon view and a comfortable bed, though it was missing some basic amenities. I wouldn't recommend it for a quiet or romantic holiday.

We felt we had to accept the room because no suitable alternatives were offered. It was extremely small and boxed in, and not what we expected for our anniversary or for the price. We asked specifically for a beach view, but were told none were available. There's no lift, so getting our luggage up to the 3rd floor was very inconvenient, and without air conditioning the room was uncomfortable. We're currently staying at Crystal Lodge for our anniversary, and this has been very disappointing. The room is just a room, with no added comfort or special touches, and not worth what we paid. It hasn't lived up to expectations and has taken away from what should have been a memorable occasion.

The ground-floor room was unbearably hot with only a fan. The air conditioner compressors for the rooms above were right beside my window. With the large window open, they were loud and blew hot air into my room. Not lekka. I don't recommend this room at all. Worst place I've ever stayed in.

The location is hard to beat, and the staff were brilliant, friendly and super accommodating. Breakfast was top class too. Tanya, Ronald and all the other ladies, thanks for making our break so special and enjoyable. We'll definitely be back one day. Do it, book it!
