The dinner was terrible. The food was ice cold, and there wasn’t enough for the number of guests. The meat was overcooked and dry, and the knives couldn’t cut it. The chef and waitress just said sorry, without trying to fix the situation. There’s a bar area, but the only options were Whisky and two different beers. They didn’t even have Coke.

The staff were amazing, a 10/10, and friendly when I arrived, especially Rhulani, and at breakfast, especially Mavis. The rooms are modern and well equipped, with DSTV, a mini fridge, Aircon, and a coffee station. There’s also a beautiful pool and lapa area with a bar. I had a comfortable stay, but several things were inconvenient. The power tripped regularly, presumably from overload. The wall plug beside my bed was partly blocked by the headboard, and the kettle cord was so short I had to boil it on the floor. The welcome letter mentioned fresh drinking water in the fridge, but I only got water on 2 out of the 4 days. One morning I got electrocuted in the shower, really NOT cool! Don’t count on the wifi for work. The connection was good, but the speed was terrible and barely usable. I’d say the place needs upgrades and more attention to small details.

It wasn’t what I expected. The front desk staff had lovely manners, but I asked them not to serve both pap and rice with supper and got both anyway. The short rib was super tough, and the salad... no guys!

We stayed for a month, and I have to say I’m disappointed for a boutique hotel. The rooms were nice and clean, and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast and dinner menus need improvement, with at least a few more options. During loadshedding, the generator wasn’t started.
