The garden was lovely, and the kids had room to run around. We appreciated the privacy, security, and all the space around the well-maintained, comfortable home. Anchorage met the needs of our big family, from the young ones to the teenagers and older family members. The caretaker was friendly and helpful, and Angelique called to check that we were happy, which was lovely service. I’d definitely visit again and tell family and friends who need holiday accommodation.

The rates are fair, and Anchorage is a beautiful, peaceful place. My son, my dog Fluffy, and I stayed there while relocating from Johannesburg. Angie, the owner, was so accommodating and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and at home. I loved the swimming pool. It was a memorable stay all round, with lots of happy times.

We stayed here in November 2014 while moving down to Margate. The accommodation impressed us, the price was good, and being able to bring my dogs was an added bonus. The place was very clean, and everyone was friendly and accommodating. We arrived from Pretoria at 10.30pm and were met by really friendly people. Thanks a ton. I’d recommend this place to everyone.

I could walk everywhere with a smile, with the beach so close and the rooms feeling homey. The view from my balcony was out of this world. If you’re coming to the South Coast area, I’d recommend Anchorage.

I visited in September 2018. The main house was spacious, and we had a great stay otherwise. The kitchen wasn’t clean, but after I spoke to the cleaner, it was cleaned all over again. Maybe the place could use some new furniture.
