Falling Waters Guest House

Room 14 was clean and girly, and my girls were excited about it. The pool was clean too. I even saw a monkey pass by the window, which was fascinating. Give it a try, I got my money's worth and don't regret it.

We paid R1027 for a booking through booking. Com made yesterday around 17:00, with confirmation number 6731754739i, but couldn't get hold of Falling Waters guest lodge. The phone number we found didn't exist. At the property, the intercom said “out of order”; one of the two cellphone numbers went straight to voicemail and the other kept dropping. We had to find somewhere else to stay despite having paid. Booking.com was no help when we called them. If this isn't a scam, I don't know what is.

The breakfast was so wholesome, homely, and delicious. They really make it the important meal of the day. Our last minute booking was handled by Thembi, who looked after us, and the lady working with her the next morning was lovely too. The rooms are clean, though the amenities weren't complete: there was no lotion or shower cap. Thembi went out of her way to lend me her own lotion, she's a gem. One thing I'd suggest is putting an iron and ironing board in the rooms, or offering ironing as a paid service. The laundry room is in a public area and felt a bit uncomfortable to use.

Our room felt stuffy, the door stuck, and the parking area had a lot of rubble. We were looking at another wall, too, though that view is probably just how some rooms are. Little fixes could improve the place. It's comfortable overall, and the onsite manager was very pleasant.
