Ramsgate Beach Club

The most disappointing part was the deposit. We cleaned the whole place, washed and put away the utensils, and caused no damage, but still haven’t received the damage deposit. We’ve sent several emails and communication has been very poor. I won’t be going back. There’s no 24-hour security, some utensils were rusty, and the property isn’t well maintained. The pool was green and unusable.

Johan did everything he could to make our stay amazing, and we loved every minute here. It’s a real gem, with direct beach access. We’ll definitely be back.

Good afternoon. We stayed from 1 October 2018 to 5 October 2018, but still haven’t received our R 1000 security deposit. We’ve emailed and called, and each time we’re given a different story. The service has been bad, and we wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We drove eight hours to Ramsgate Beach Club and were so shocked by the unit that we didn’t even unpack. The walls had rising damp, it was dirty, buttons were missing from the furniture, and the stove was old and rusted. The interior and exterior both left a lot to be desired. The listing says three bedrooms, but only two are upstairs in the main unit. The third is separate, accessed through the garage and down stairs to a dingy basement room. It was absolutely awful. We called the Agent Zina, who said she was sure a refund wouldn’t be a problem. We found somewhere else to stay, drove there, paid, and checked in. Only then did Zina change her tune and say the Owner wouldn’t refund us.
