Villa Tropicana

The garden and pool area were superb, and our room was clean and really nice. Friendly staff welcomed us when we arrived. Everything is central, and the place feels safe and peaceful. We had an amazing stay and will definitely return. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the south coast.

We felt at home and comfortable at Villa Tropicana in Margate, and I'll certainly visit again. The place is well maintained, clean, and safe. Everyone there was so friendly, welcoming, and trustworthy, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone wanting somewhere peaceful and pleasant.

I paid more than R5000 and expected basic things like soap, air freshener, decent bedding, clean rooms, and floor mats. It felt as if guests weren't expected. Room 7 is outside and needs serious attention. The blinds were dirty, the tiny bathroom had no air freshener or soap, the shower was terrible, and it looks like it hasn't been painted in years. There were no sheets apart from fitted sheets, so bathing as a couple wasn't possible. A double bed had only a single comforter, which doesn't do the job. I bought a flat sheet myself, and may buy a double comforter tomorrow if that's too much for the owner. I'll probably add pictures tomorrow. The staff were friendly, but seemed to have no resources or discretion and had to WhatsApp for approval on everything. I was willing to pay the difference for the more expensive room that was only booked for the 30th, and move to room 7 then. I guess it's still empty while waiting for that booking. A quiet, warm place to stay, and the great service made us feel at home. We'll definitely come back next holiday.
