Absolutely beautiful, and I loved the experience.

This ground-floor self-catering villa, San Lameer Villa 2516, is in the secure, popular San Lameer estate. It's conveniently placed within walking distance of many sports and leisure facilities. The access-controlled estate has a beach, swimming pools, tennis and squash courts, golf, a children's playground and bird watching. The open-plan layout sleeps two, with a bedroom area, bathroom, kitchen and living space. There's a double bed, and the bathroom has both a bath and shower. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering, with a microwave, fridge and stove. In the lounge there's a comfortable seating area and a TV with full DStv. The villa opens onto a patio with outdoor dining furniture and Weber-braai facilities.

My son and his guest stayed in this one-bedroom place, but there was nowhere in the bedroom to put a suitcase while unpacking. We don't put cases on the beds!

The accommodation was neat, but the bath and shower were uncomfortable. The patio furniture was old and broken, and there was too much furniture crammed into the studio.
