Sherwood Forest 2 Marina Drive

The property needs better upkeep, and this felt unfairly handled. I'd advise the owner to maintain it properly, replace the low-quality, damaged furniture, and be upfront about existing problems. Until that happens, I wouldn't recommend staying here. On arrival at Sherwood Forest Drive, No. 2 Marina Drive, the place wasn't clean, which got the stay off to a bad start. The shower door was broken too. The owner later acknowledged that, but we hadn't been told beforehand. We stayed anyway and tried to be understanding. After checkout, we were told we'd forfeited a R500 damage fee over a broken table. It was already in poor condition, and the wood seemed so low quality that something as simple as water could easily damage it. It didn't seem reasonable to hold guests responsible for furniture that was worn and fragile.

A nice, quiet, clean place with a play area for kids, a kiddies pool, and an adult pool. Lovely on a hot day. There's also a braai area, and you can bring your own food and charcoal or order from the restaurant.

Amazing service and great food, especially the absolutely delicious burgers. 10/10, highly recommend stopping for one before heading to the beach.

The food is great, but they don't keep the phone on, so you can't call to place an order.
