We were told the cameras inside the building would be switched off, but they appeared to still be active. After we covered the lenses to protect our privacy, we were accused of “tampering” with the equipment and asked to leave. We also had to pay a R2000 cash deposit before entering, and it still hasn't been returned despite our requests. These experiences left us with serious concerns about transparency, privacy, and fair treatment.

Even with a small group, I'd pay extra for the Genet House. We passed several other houses we'd considered, and the outdoor space and close-up wildlife made it clear we'd chosen well. One day, we simply sat by the pool watching all kinds of animals come past. We enjoyed that more than our drives through Krugar. Daily maid service was a bonus, too. The air conditioning worked well, there was always hot water, and everything was very, very clean.

The wildlife was amazing, and the place itself was magnificent: comfortable, clean, and equipped with all the amenities. The owners were so hospitable and always just a phone call or text away. Great people, and I'd highly recommend staying there.

Walking into Genet House made an already beautiful building feel even more impressive. The rooms and service are both high quality, and the owner welcomed us warmly and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. It was the kind of place where you can really sit back and relax. I was thoroughly impressed and highly recommend it.
