We had a wonderful weekend with friends at Kruger River Holiday Home. The outdoor space is spectacular and so thoughtfully laid out. The pool is built into the patio, which stays cool even on hot days, and there are lots of spots to relax, braai, watch game and share meals. The Crocodile River view is gorgeous, and the house is in a quiet part of Marloth Park. Animals visited every day, including warthogs, kudu, impala and bushbuck. Crocodile river bridge Kruger Gate is about a 20-minute drive away, which is very convenient. Inside, the bedrooms have welcoming air-conditioning and big, comfortable beds, and the house is serviced every morning. The dishwasher made kitchen life easy. We can’t wait to go back.

Lwazi the caretaker looked after us so well. His hospitality made us feel at home, even far from home. I especially loved the crisp, clean white linen, the entertainment area and, best of all, the outdoor shower. The ice maker made life easier on that hot weekend, and we spent our weekends in the clean pool. It was probably my most memorable trip in Mpumalanga. We’re already planning a return.

The river view is a real highlight here. There’s plenty to enjoy at the accommodation too: a pool, two braai areas, an outside shower, and an upper deck, plus DSTV and a dishwasher. It’s what you’d expect from a five-star place.

The watering hole view was great, and there was tons of wildlife around. I really enjoyed my stay, especially with the spacious rooms and air conditioning.

The covered outdoor area was great, and the second-floor view looks out over the river. The bedrooms have air conditioning too.
