Marloth Wild Fig

The animal viewing was a highlight. We saw even more wildlife than in the Kruger National Park, with animals moving freely between the houses, and lots to see by Crocodile River, especially crocodiles, elephants and hippos. The four of us women always felt safe, and the home was well maintained and equipped. Mariette and Barry were warm and hospitable, gave clear directions from Jhb to Wild Fig, and made sure we knew where to collect the keys. We had a really pleasant stay and enjoyed every moment.

There was plenty of wildlife and lovely views, which made for a great escape in Marloth park. We found both the studio apartment and the two-bedroom house beautiful and comfortable, and the hosts were friendly and easy to deal with. I'd recommend the studio for a couple, while the larger house suits a bigger family.

We loved our time at the Wildfig studio. It's a small, intimate place where a couple can enjoy being together, with all the comforts you'd expect at home. After a day exploring Marloth Park, it was nice to come back to this little home. A quiet, relaxed few days here would suit anyone looking for a getaway.

The animals wandering across the property were a real treat. A bush baby even spent a little while with us in the evening, keeping a safe distance, and curious Kudus came close looking for feed. It was lovely to be near these magnificent animals, though we had to remind ourselves that they are wild and to stay cautious. We ended the day on the patio with a fire and sundowners, listening to lions roar in the distance. The studio had everything we needed, and the owners made it comfortable, shared useful facts and points of interest, and had planned ahead so loadshedding wasn't an issue. Just right for our weekend away. We'll be back.
