I stayed for 4 days. The location was really nice, the rooms were clean, and whenever there was an issue, the staff sorted it out. They were all very friendly and kind, with smiles even while working over Christmas, when they should have been with friends and family. I hope this hotel gives them weeks off and triple pay for it.

The buffet was awesome, and you could eat as much as you wanted. I wasn't staying at the hotel, but I enjoyed it every night. The pianist was excellent again. I think his name was Sandiso, if I'm not mistaken. His melodies made the atmosphere feel like a honeymoon, simply perfect.

Richard and the team made our stay comfortable, going out of their way to help. We enjoyed every moment at the hotel and the delicious food had a great variety. The free tickets to Botanical gardens were a bonus. Thank you!

The slush and popcorn machine was a great touch, and the kids really enjoyed it. The family rooms felt cramped compared with other Southern Sun's, and the breakfast buffet was good but smaller than at their other hotels. Pool cleaning continued past 10am, which was disappointing since the weather was only good for swimming early in the morning. Board games and activities are usually available at the others, but not here. The hotel looks and feels great. Staff were friendly and okay, and the stay was okay overall.

Honestly, this feels like a three star hotel. It was built in 2002, and the renovation seems to have left the old things in place, with just paint, new vinyl flooring, and carpets to make it look new. Whoever at HQ handled it should be fired. There was no attention to detail. It looks like a township renovation.
