Constantia Hotel and Conference Centre

The treatment itself was terrible, with the therapist scratching me with her nails instead of giving a relaxing massage. The spa was dirty and unhygienic, the blankets smelled bad and the treatment rooms didn't feel fresh. Reception was rude and unprofessional, more focused on her phone than helping or respectfully welcoming customers. The therapists also came across as unprofessional: no welcome drinks or proper introduction, and we weren't asked to sign consent or concern forms before treatment, which felt like a serious red flag. The package we booked was misrepresented, with services advertised that they didn't even have equipment for. It felt like a scam. This was a horrible, disappointing experience at the [Contention Hotel Spa]. I won't return or recommend it to anyone.

The rooms are basic, with old TV sets, and some hairdryers and remotes are broken. There are carpets in both the rooms and hallway. I had to switch rooms because mine smelled of cigarettes. The sheltered parking is reserved for the manager.

Mosa and David were kind, direct, calm and professional, and the massage was so gentle and relaxing. My husband and I had never had massages before, and we came in feeling heavy and left so light. I'd been nervous after reading the reviews, but decided to see for myself and I'm not disappointed at all. It was an amazing experience, and I'll be going again very soon!

The towels smelled unpleasant, and the room was dark and uninviting. The Constantia Spa looked nothing like the pictures online, and I honestly felt scammed when I arrived. The massage was average, I'd give the therapist 4/10.
