Breakfast was the best part, really lovely, and it's a great place. But the drainage is crap. After rain the day before, we had to walk through water to get out the door. Getting in was tricky too. The gate is highly secured, which is good, but there was no guard when we arrived to check in, and nobody answered our calls. I was about to press panic mode when the owner called back and helped us get in.

The lawns and guest home are beautiful, and even though the area is fairly built up, it feels like you're far out in the countryside. Bertha kindly let us leave our luggage until it was time for our flight home. We only regret booking one night, since we could have used longer to recover from an epic South African trip.

I was travelling alone for work on my first trip to SA, so Bertha and her team making me feel at home meant a lot. I had a wonderful stay at Tuareg Guest House. My suite was spacious and cosy, with a fluffy robe and a hot water bottle for the chilly nights. The gated property felt very safe, and I'd definitely recommend it.

Thanks for hosting us for Mother's Day weekend with my sisters. The garden is beautiful, though we were sad we couldn't walk around because there was water all over the grass.
