The views from the chalets across Manyoni Game Reserve are lovely, and we even spotted a pride of lions. Nyala, Impala and warthog wander around the gardens, which are beautifully cared for. Rose’s meals, made with fresh herbs, were delicious. The chalets have huge, comfortable beds, plus a small fridge, tea and coffee station, aircons and a fan. Mike and Rose are hands-on, friendly owners who are always helpful, and the staff are great too. Msunduze River Lodge is a wonderful little piece of paradise. So good to be back, and I can’t wait to return.

A lovely quiet spot beside the Msunduze River, with lots of trees and views over the water. The staff are kind, and it works well for an overnight stop or as a base for exploring nearby areas. I’ll definitely come back.

The rooms are comfortable, and Msunduze lodge is very close to Manyoni game reserve. The owners are wonderful and take time to get to know their guests. They also put together thoughtful, delicious meals around your preferences. Highly recommend staying here.

If you’re after peace and nature, this is a fantastic place to stay. The hosts are exceptional, and some of the best meals I’ve had in this region were served here.

Mike and Rose made us feel so welcome. They were friendly, hospitable, and went the extra mile in every way. The rooms were inviting, clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious, with lovely flavor combinations and beautiful presentation. Msunduze River Lodge is such a refreshing place for the soul. I’d happily stay again and highly recommend it to anyone passing through or visiting a nearby game reserve. 😁🦋
