Our stay at Manyane was fantastic, and we'll be back. We stayed in one of their Chalets from 20-22 Feb 2026. The chalet was incredibly tidy and clean. Our car broke down about 15km outside the resort. We managed to reach it slowly, and the staff were all so helpful. On Saturday morning they even sent two guys to see if they could assist, but unfortunately the bakkie had to go on a flat bed. The ladies at reception were friendly and helpful. The restaurant served great food despite being affected by fires a few months earlier. Security patrolled around the chalets through the night.

The staff still have the same great energy and are so friendly. Even after the restaurant burnt down, they made a plan and set up a smaller kitchen and restaurant, where the food is amazing. I've been coming here for 10 years and have loved every visit. Management has slipped a little and some things are run down. The shebeen is still noisy on weekends, so bring earplugs. If you've got good memories of Manyane, you'll definitely come back and feel its real magic.

We expected rustic bush camping at Manyane Resort and Campsite, but found the grounds badly neglected. The grass was overgrown with no obvious mowing or upkeep, making the place feel abandoned instead of natural. It also raised concerns about snakes and ticks. There were other serious safety worries. You could drive straight onto the campsite with no visible security or access control. Some sites had exposed electrical wires. The online listings don't show the campsite's current state, which felt misleading. Very disappointing.

We went into Manyane Bush Camp to look at the campsite before committing to a stay, and left soon after. The facilities looked neglected and poorly maintained, and there was no visible security, patrols, or clear management presence. We didn't feel safe there. We also tried the listed phone numbers, but none worked. Based on what we saw, we wouldn't stay or recommend Manyane Bush Camp. There are much better managed camping options.

There’s a lot of potential at Manyane Resort. We camped in our caravan. The ablutions were clean, though they need maintenance. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
