Kogman and Keisie Guest Farm

The hot and cold pools were such a nice extra, and being about a 20 minute walk from town worked well for us. We really enjoyed the peaceful, beautiful setting. Everything was clean and easy to use, and the hosts were lovely. Breakfast was included and had a bit of everything. The restaurant has a French feel, with cafe music playing throughout the day, and there’s a small boutique shop selling their house-brand soaps, creams, and other products. Thanks, Kogmans & Keisie!

We only had a short stay, which is my one regret, since there was so much to enjoy. We took the mountain bikes out, including into town, walked the trails, and even swam in the heated pool at 7:00 in the morning. The farm views and beautiful horses along the riverbed were breathtaking. The coffee shop and wellness spa are a great plus, and breakfast was outstanding. Kogman & Keisie Guest Farm felt like a mix of bed and breakfast and boutique hotel. Yolandie and Paul made us feel at home, and the staff were incredible. The rooms were outstandingly clean and smelled wonderful. I usually check for spiders and crawlers when I arrive somewhere, but didn’t feel I needed to here. Can't wait to visit again soon! We spent five days at Mountain View Cottage, a spacious, detached, self-catering house with three bedrooms and everything very thoughtfully supplied. The owners are a truly inspiring couple, and we noticed care in the room decor, amenities, and even how breakfast was served. The central deck is both comfortable and intimate. The organic farm sits on the mountain flank, with views of wild fijnbos and walking paths starting right outside. Montagu’s picturesque main street is also only a five minute stroll away. We highly recommend staying here and will be back.

The two decks beside the swimming pools were lovely places to spend lazy afternoons, and we especially enjoyed hiking in the mountains, with direct access from the farm to Montagu Nature Reserve. Yolandie also made us a fantastic meal using fresh farm produce, and one evening we were welcomed by freshly baked focaccia. The Fijn Botanical products in the cottage were wonderful. Our stay in Mountain View Cottage was peaceful and blissful. Yolandie, Paul, and Oslyne went out of their way to make it memorable. The children loved their farm mornings, greeting the geese and chickens and collecting eggs. Suki and Panda, the two border collies, were usually close by, keeping an eye on things. A big thank you, we had such a good time and will definitely come again. The braai next to the Kol Kol hot tub was a real treat.
