I booked through booking.com and was disappointed by the listing and the stay. It was advertised as a bed and breakfast, but breakfast wasn’t included, and no breakfast time was provided. The jacuzzi was also advertised, though use costs R50 for every 20 minutes. At up to R1300 for one night, the place offers very few amenities: only the bare minimum of towels and no sink for washing up. I’ve found much better places in Mosselbay for that price. Check-in communication was poor, and they didn’t answer the phone. The owner’s attitude and lack of hospitality were the worst part. I’d suggest booking somewhere else in Mosselbay.

We found the place through Leka slaap and wanted to look before booking. The owner suggested arranging it privately so she wouldn’t have to pay their commission, then explained at length that she had priced it incorrectly. The Leka slaap price was R875.00 including breakfast. At first she wanted R1250.00, but when we said we’d leave, she agreed to R875.00. Later, though, she said breakfast would cost another R75.00 per person. The place itself wasn’t bad, but the mattress was uncomfortable. We chose not to have breakfast on principle, not because of the R75.00. I was too tired to look for somewhere else to stay, though otherwise I would have.

The rooms at IDiaz beach house are modern, spacious, comfortable, and super clean, and the main beach is very close. There’s also a lovely splash pool and braai facilities. Highly recommended.
