Hartenbos Lagoon Resort

The resort’s location made everything easy, with shops, the beach, and nice restaurants nearby. We really enjoyed staying here, and our place was cleaned every day, which felt five-star. It did get a bit warm without air conditioning, but the fans helped a lot. The big pool at the hotel next door was amazing. I only wish the water had been a little warmer.

The braai area was nice, and the location was great. We had a good stay, especially for a place to take the kids. There isn’t much room for clothes, but that’s fine if you know how to pack light 😅.

We found it easy to settle in here. The accommodation was comfortable, modern, and had everything we needed, while the staff were friendly and always happy to help. The grounds are peaceful, with lovely lagoon views, and the whole resort is beautifully kept and spotless. It’s a lovely setting for relaxing, enjoying nature, or spending time with family. We left feeling refreshed and grateful, and are already looking forward to coming back. Hartenbos Lagoon Resort made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

We stayed in Room 10, a modern apartment with a lovely balcony looking over the lagoon. It was fairly well suited to the power cuts, with a gas cooker and kettle. There was no WiFi when we visited in March 2024, though we could connect at the hotel next door, which has a pool. The staff at both places were charming and very helpful. The views are brilliant, and the setting is quiet. It’s a good base for exploring the bay and its many attractions, with beach walks nearby and canoeing on the lagoon. There were three bikes available, but none were roadworthy at the time. This is a timeshare, and a wonderful place to stay.
