Mount Edgecombe Estate Lodge

This quaint little lodge sits on a pristine golf course right in the middle of suburbia. From the room, you look out over the course lawns, and at night you can hear creatures from nature as you fall asleep. The room feels made for relaxing, whether you're one person or two, with an extremely comfortable bed, a wall mounted TV for binge watching, and a huge bath tub for after a long day. In the morning there was a wonderful breakfast with enough options even for a picky eater. All in all, a wonderful stay!

For food, the golf club restaurants are an easy walk, about 500 m away, and offer good meals at very reasonable prices. The lodge itself is in a wonderful natural setting on a golf estate, and is well kept, with neat, modern, functional rooms and plenty of ways to unwind. You can walk around the estate, watch birds, swim in the pool or read in the comfortable lounge. I stayed here for business with my wife, and Andy Yuill went out of his way to make sure we were happy, dealing with anything that needed attention quickly and efficiently. I'd highly recommend it and will certainly consider using it as my base again when I'm down in Durban on business.

The rooms are nice, and it's convenient for the clubhouse. Just take care with the navigation when coming into the Estate, as Maps or Waze can make the route a little tricky.
