We had to leave before breakfast service began, but the staff had breakfast packs organized for us. The shuttle driver was also fantastic and professional, ready at 6 a.m. and kind and well-presented. He even delivered packs to fellow travellers who'd forgotten to collect theirs. The staff were efficient and genuinely lovely throughout. I ended up at Hotel Savoy after my flight was cancelled, exhausted and feeling unwell with tonsils. The room was warm, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, and everything worked, especially the heater, which helped me rest. The water pressure and temperature were great. A kettle made taking my medication easy, and there was also an iron and ironing board, WiFi, and the usual essentials. Clean, reliable, and comfortable, with people who clearly care about guests. Amazing stay, highly recommended.

The Executive room was spacious, and I loved having both a tub and shower. Still, the floor wasn't clean: my son played in socks and they came away dusty underneath. The T.V wasn't connected either. Apart from those issues, it was a lovely hotel.

Breakfast was OK, nothing special. I also found the mattresses really wacky, they need to check on that. Room 18 was noisy because the staff locker rooms nearby had people checking in during the early hours. The rooms were clean, though, and the place is good.

The room itself was nice, but there was no warm water, the worst part. Two movie channels had no sound; tech fixed them, but only for an hour. By morning there was no TV signal either. I will not return.

The room was clean and generously sized, though I gave it 3/5. The Executive room could use a cozy couch, and despite the spaciousness, the bed felt more queen than king, which may disappoint anyone expecting a bit more luxury. The furnishings are dated, so don't expect modern charm. The location is lively, with constant activity and nearby construction making restful sleep difficult. Early risers may have no choice. Staff were professional and got the job done, but there was little warmth or personal touch. After a long drive into Mthatha, the lights and roomy accommodation may catch your eye, but my stay was a two-star experience.
